Calendar

You can schedule meetings and reminders of events using the Calendar function of your email. The subject of the event, along with the date and time it is scheduled to occur, will appear in the Today view of your calendar.

Viewing Your KW Web Mail Calendar

  1. From the INBOX, click Calendar to view your schedule.
  2. A view of the current month with all scheduled events will appear.
  3. You may click on Day, Work Week, or Month depending on how you want to view your schedule.

Sharing Your KW Web Mail Calendar

If you would like to share your online Web Mail calendar with another user, you will first need to give them permission:

  1. Select Calendar icon on menu bar.
  2. Select My Calendars.
  3. The next page will show another pull-down menu next to My Calendars.  Select the calendar you would like to share again from the menu, and a "Permissions" button will appear. 
  4. Select the "Permissions" button.
  5. Add the KW email address of the individual you would like to share your Web Mail calendar with in the field provided. Then check the box next to the permissions you would like to grant this person.  Your choices include the ability for them to: show, read, edit or delete your calendar information.
  6. Once you've added the KW email address and permissions, select the save button at the end of the page.

Viewing Multiple Calendars

If you need to view another KW Associate's calendar, you must first be given permission by that Associate within their Web Mail application (see above for more detail).  Once you have the permission needed to access the other Associate's calendar, here's how you can view the shared calendar:

  1. From the Calendar, select the pull-down menu from the upper right-hand corner of the menu.
  2. You should be able to see your calendar along with the shared calendar. Select the shared calendar, and it will appear on the next page.
  3. If you are unable to edit or delete items in the calendar and you need that access, please contact the KW Associate sharing the calendar with you and request that they change your permissions.

Scheduling Events

  1. From your INBOX, click Calendar.
  2. Click on the New Event icon.
  3. The Add Event window will appear. Enter the information for the new event.
  4. Title - This heading will appear on your calendar for this day.
  5. Category - You may enter a category for the event, such as meeting, personal, etc.
  6. Location - Enter the location where the event will be held.
  7. Start On - Set the date on which you want the event to occur.
  8. At - Enter the starting time for the event.
  9. Duration - Enter the duration of the event.
  10. Alarm - If you would like the alarm to remind you of the event, set the amount of time before the event that you would like the alarm to remind you by email.
  11. Description - You can enter a description of the event.
  12. Pattern - If the event will reoccur, you may set the frequency of recurrence.
  13. Recur Until - If the event will recur, you may set when the recurrence will stop.
  14. When you are finished, click Save Event.

Importing Calendar Events

  1. When you have exported your calendar from another program, such as Outlook, you are ready to import the calendar into KW WebMail.
  2. From your INBOX, click Calendar, and then, click Import/Export.
  3. Under Import Calendar, select CSV for the source.
  4. Click Browse to find the file that you will import.
  5. Click Import.

Exporting Calendar Events

  1. From your INBOX, click Calendar, and then, click Import/Export.
  2. Under Export Calendar, select CSV for the source.
  3. Limit the time span to export - Set the starting date and, if applicable, the ending date for the events to be exported.
  4. Click Export.
  5. When the File Download prompt appears, select the file location where you wish to save the exported information.
