Email  >> Troubleshoot your Webmail using E-Fax

If you have verified that you are not receiving e-faxes to your KW.com email address, please contact your e-fax provider.  Most e-fax providers include an email address with their services in which you can verify that a fax was received.  If the e-fax was received at this account and not your KW account:

  1. Please verify your account settings to be sure they are sending to the correct address.  You may also want to add an additional mailing address for these e-faxes to be sent to in order to verify that KW is not receiving them.
  2. If e-faxes are being rejected by KW servers you should be receiving bounceback, Non-deliver (NDN) notifications.  If you are receiving these notifications forward or copy the bounce message to kwrisupport@gmail.com - making sure that you include this Issue/Ticket number in the subject line.  We do not actively monitor this account, so please notify us that you have sent the bounceback (NDN) by replying to this ticket.   We will then verify that we are actively filtering those emails and inform you of how we might be able to resolve that issue.
  3. If you are NOT receiving bouncebacks please contact your E-fax provider to find out where these notifications may be going.  If you are not able to retrieve a bounceback, we will at least need the IP address(es) for their Mail Exchange (MX) servers.  We can check to see if we are filtering those IPs.  (A bounceback notification is typically the best thing we can use)

If we are not able to obtain any non-delivery notifications it will be extremely difficult for us to determine what is happening to your e-faxes.  Typical reasons for non-delivery are:

  1. Bad host declaration (required to be FQDN of relaying host as per RFC2821)
  2. Using non-existent or malformed envelope sender (e.g., voicemail252@kw.com when that account doesn't exist).
  3. Message exceeds data limit (8Mb)

We recommend that you continue to use your KW email account.  However if you feel that this is negatively impacting your business we recommend that you setup a non-KW email account to retrieve these e-faxes.
