MICROSITES:  what they are and how to use them

What are Microsites?

Microsites are websites created by KWRI for Associate lead capture purposes.  These sites allow Associates to capture leads from a source other than their Agent Template site.

A Microsite allows Associates to establish a lead capturing tool online quickly and easily while “masking” their identity to the outside world.  The Microsite uses the following four pages to capture the consumer’s attention:

  • Find your Realtor® now!
  • Determine your home’s value
  • Search for a house today!
  • Get pre-approved - it's easy!

When a consumer selects any of these pages, they are directed to a form to fill in their information.  That data is captured in an email and sent directly to the Associate.

The form data will be sent to the Associate via Top Producer for those Associates participating in the KW ProManage program, or directly to the Associate’s email account (this is the same email account where contact form information from your Associate template site is sent.)

Once an Associate configures their Microsite with a unique site name and enters their search link, their Microsite is posted out on the internet ready for the consumer to view!

How do I configure my Microsite?

  1. Login to the KW intranet and select “My Information.”
  2. Select “My Website.”
  3. Then select “Agent Website Admin .”  A new window will open with the new Agent Website Administration Tool.
  4. Select section 6.1 - Manage Microsite.
Before you configure your Microsite, you must read and accept the Terms and Conditions for use.
  5. Click Here for further instructions.
  6. When entering a name for your Microsite, the name you choose must follow these parameters:
    1. The name must be unique and not be in use by another Associate using the Agent Template sites or the Microsites with the same name.
    2. The site must not bear the same name as your Agent Template site.
    3. The site name must be 50 characters or less.
    4. Then your Microsite URL will be: http://micrositename.YourMLSHomeSearch.com
  7. You can also enter your Microsite Search URL.  The Microsite Search URL is a URL specified by the Associate.  This is the link to a site where you would like your consumer directed after they’ve submitted their contact form on the “Search for a Home Today” page.  If you choose to enter an IDX link provided by your local MLS, you must be certain that this use is in compliance with your local Board and MLS.  Each MLS has rules and regulations regarding the use of this link, and these rules are enforced regularly by your MLS.  Please check with the source of your link if you are unclear whether you may add the link to your site.  Violations of MLS rules will result in the removal of your Microsite from the KW server.

How do I configure my Microsite auto-responder forms?

Your Microsite has default auto-responder messages already saved in the system.

  • The auto-responder message is the email that is automatically sent to the consumer once they fill out and submit the contact form.
  • The form response message is the message the consumer will view on the webpage after they enter their contact information and select submit.

Both of these messages are editable.  In order to edit the default messages, go to section 6.2 - Add Microsite Austo Responders.  You may select your form responders from the pull-down menu and follow the steps to submit your edits.  Be sure to select “save” when you’re done editing each form:

  1. FindRealtor: This form appears on your microsite under "Find your REALTOR® now!"
  2. FindHome: This form appears on your microsite under "Search for a house today!"
  3. GetLoan: This form appears on your microsite under "Get pre-approved - it's easy!"
  4. GetValue: This form appears on your microsite under "Determine your home's value"
